About Tethered Trail

Gear for the trail, plainly put.

Packs, bottles, shelter, stoves and the small things that keep a day out simple, laid out one piece at a time, each with a plain page beside it.

Three hikers walking single file along an open ridge trail under a wide sky, loaded packs on their backs, seen from behind

How it works

How the shop is put together.

  1. Our own gear

Everything here is sold under the Tethered Trail name. There are no sub-brands to learn and no codes to decode: a daypack is a daypack, measured and counted, and a stove is a stove.

  2. Plain pages

Each page reads like a packing list: the capacity, the measurements, the material and the weight, as far as they apply. Where the photo shows fewer than the pack holds, as with the hand warmers or the fuel canister, the page says so.

  3. Shot plainly

Every product photo is a plain studio shot on white, and every trail scene is staged for this catalogue. If a picture and the written page ever disagree, the page, with its description and specifications, is what you are buying.

  4. From the small to the big

The catalogue runs from the Stove Fuel Canister (230 g) to the Backpacking Pack 65L, with bottles, lights, a stove and a tent in between. Two kits gather pieces from the catalogue for a day hike and for a night out.
